BACK TO THE HUMP

This project is a long-term humanitarian initiative aimed at locating the remains of over 2000 Allied pilots who went missing or sacrificed during World War Il along the Hump route, and repatriating them to their homelands.
Operating in the challenging and volatile environment of the tri-border region between China, Myanmar, and India known as the "Hump area,characterized by harsh climates and difficult terrain, this endeavor poses significant risks and serves as a dual test of personnel and equipment.
In 2023, The Fourteen Mountains launched the BACK TO THE HUMPcampaign, aiming to raise awareness about the historic Hump route on the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Second Sino-Japanese War, and inviting participation to help reunite international soldiers who sacrificed for human peace with their families.
The campaign collaborates with renowned American explorer Clayton Kuhles, It is envisioned as a long-term humanitarian effort.with the ultimate goal of locating the remains of over 600 crashed aircraft and more than 2,000 pilots, ensuring their honorable return home as much as possible.
